Digital I/O and power connector

The digital I/O and power connector is an M12 17-pin (male) connector that
transmits and receives both RS-232 and digital I/O signals, controlled-current
output signal, and provides power to your Matrox Iris GT.
The pinout for the digital I/O and power connector is as follows:

Description
RS-232 receive.
Open-collector auxiliary signal 7 (output).
Supported function: User-defined signal 7 (output).
Open-collector auxiliary signal 5 (output).
Supported function: Standard strobe signal (pulse generated using exposure
timer 2), user-defined signal 5 (output), exposure signal (generated using
exposure timer 1), or trigger signal bypass.
Do not connect.
Opto-isolated auxiliary signal 2 (input), positive.
Supported function: User-defined signal 2 (input).
Note: The negative component of this signal is internally connected to the
ground.
Opto-isolated auxiliary signal 1 (input), positive.
Supported function: User-defined signal 1 (input).
Note: The negative component of this signal is internally connected to the
ground.
Opto-isolated trigger input signal, positive.
RS-232 transmit.
Open-collector auxiliary signal 6 (output).
Supported function: User-defined signal 6 (output) or exposure signal.
Open-collector auxiliary signal 4 (output).
Supported function: Pulse-train strobe signal (pulse-train generated with a pulse
width modulator (PMW) and exposure timer 2), user-defined signal 4 (output),
exposure signal (generated using exposure timer 1), or trigger signal bypass.
