32 Chapter 2: Powering and connecting to your Matrox Iris GT

Configuring your Matrox Iris GT to use a static IP address

To configure your Matrox Iris GT to use a static IP address, perform the following:
1. Contact your network administrator for a unique IP address for your Matrox
Iris GT and to determine the subnet mask for your network. Most networks have
IP addresses all on the same subnet.
2. If connecting directly to your network and not already connected, connect a USB
hub to the USB port on the M12 12-pin cable. Once the hub is connected, connect
your display device, keyboard, and mouse to the hub.
3. Log into your Matrox Iris GT, using the USB keyboard. Note that, by default
Autologin should be enabled, and you will not be prompted for a user name or
password. If you are prompted, the default user name and password is
Administrator for both.
4. Open the Windows Control Panel and double-click on the Network
Connections icon. The Network Connections dialog box opens.
