Introduction
The AMI Firmware Update utility allows you to update or save the system BIOS
of Matrox Iris GT. This utility can reprogram the BIOS of Matrox Iris GT using
a BIOS image file, or extract the current BIOS image and write it to a file.
The AMI Firmware Update utility runs on your Matrox Iris GT with
Windows XPe. To launch this utility, go to the Windows Start menu, and select
AMI Firmware Update.
Some considerations
You must close all applications before running the AMI Firmware Update utility,
to ensure that no applications interfere with the BIOS update process.
You must not shut down Matrox Iris GT while the AMI Firmware Update utility
is running.
Updating or saving the BIOS using the AMI
Firmware Update utility
This section lists the procedure to update (flash) or save the BIOS using the AMI
Firmware Update utility under Microsoft Windows XPe on your Matrox Iris GT.
The AMI Firmware Update utility, AFUWIN.exe, is located on the flash disk of
your smart camera, along with the file UCORESYS.SYS.
To update or save the BIOS of your Matrox Iris GT using the AMI Firmware
Update utility, perform the following:
