144 Appendix H: XPConfig command-line options

Introduction

Aside from allowing you to change Matrox Iris GT settings, the Matrox XP
Configuration utility (XPConfig) also has a number of command-line options.
These allow you to perform several tasks from the Windows XPe command
prompt.
The command-line prototype for XPConfig is:
xpconfig [/autopopup][/dmacheck][/mem][/reboot][/shutdown]

Calling XPConfig with a specific option

The procedure to call the XPConfig utility with a specific command-line option
is as follows:
1. Ensure that the XPConfig utility is not already running.
2. Open a command window. To open a command window, use the Windows
Command Prompt menu command from the Windows Start menu.
3. Type xpconfig /option, where /option represents the option that you want to select.
For example, to reboot your Matrox Iris GT smart camera, type xpconfig /reboot
at the command prompt.

/autopopup

When you call XPConfig with the /autopopup option, XPConfig checks the
registry to determine if the automatic popup feature is enabled. If so, it displays
the Matrox Iris GT Windows XP Embedded Configuration dialog box
automatically when you log into Windows XP; otherwise, it does nothing. This
option is used at bootup time to determine if the Matrox Iris GT Windows XP
