Setting
ENERGY
Mode with
TIME
Settings
In this mode, welding progresses until the amount of energy you specify has been
transmitted. Regardless of this amount of energy, the weld terminates at the +Time Limit
(either the default (0.050 sec) or the time you set for this setting).
• The +Limit indicates the selected maximum amount of time to be used. If that amount
of time is exceeded, the system generates an alarm to prevent the part from being
over-welded. The weld time terminates and the hold portion of the weld cycle begins.
This setting cannot be disabled.
• The —Limit indicates the selected minimum amount of time that is acceptable. If this
amount is not reached within the specified amount of time, the system generates an
alarm. This setting can be disabled. (Refer to Section 4.6 for information on alarms.)
Note: Do not set a minimum (—) limit greater than a maximum (+) limit. Doing so will
generate a "LIMITS ERROR" alarm, preventing you from starting a weld cycle.
