c. Using
HORN DOWN
Mode (900AES/AOS Actuator only)
Use
HORN DOWN
mode to check the carriage position, current force and/or gauge pressure
after installing or repositioning an actuator switch or sensor. Run
HORN DOWN
mode as
follows:

Press sEruP.
"SETUP MODE" appears on the
STATUS
display.

Press one of the sELEcr keys:
Top
SELECT
key
Middle sR.Ecr key
Bottom
SELECT
key
The
LED
on switch that you pressed turns On,
to indicate:
"DIS" - Carriage Position
"FRC" - Current Force
"PR" - Gauge Pressure

Press both PBs
simultaneously or activate
EXTERNAL START
signal.
The horn extends towards the part. When
trigger force is reached, a beep occurs and
data displays in
STATUS
display. The horn is
now latched in the down position. (See Note
below.)

Release PBs or
EXTERNAL
START
signal.
Horn remains down unless you used the
Alternate Method.

Press another
SELECT
key for
another test.
Data corresponding to the
SELECT
key that was
pressed is displayed in the
STATUS
display.

To exit, press the
SELECT
key
pressed last.
The horn returns to the home position unless
you used the Alternate Method.
7
Press
SETUP.
The unit returns to
READY
state.
Note: Alternate Method: If you do not want the horn to latch in the down position, set
the trigger force to its maximum setting, reducing the air pressure if required.
