Settings
In this mode, as in
TIME
mode, welding progresses for the period of time that you select.
In addition, you can set the maximum and minimum amounts of energy that can be
applied to the part during the selected weld time.
• The +Limit indicates the selected maximum amount of energy to be used. If that
amount of energy is exceeded, the system generates an alarm to prevent the part from
being over-welded. The weld time is terminated and the hold portion of the weld cycle
begins. This setting can be disabled.
• The —Limit indicates the selected minimum amount of energy that is acceptable. If this
amount is not reached within the specified amount of time, the system generates an
alarm. This setting can also be disabled. (Refer to Section 4.6, Other Functions, for
information on alarms.)
Note: Do not set a minimum (—) limit greater than a maximum (+) limit. Doing so will
generate a "LIMITS ERROR" alarm, preventing you from starting a weld cycle.
