Mode Settings
Using settings in
ENERGY
mode helps compensate for differences from part-to-part. These
differences can cause the amount of energy absorbed by each part to vary.
ENERGY
mode controls the amount of energy in joules that will be applied to the part
during the weld. In
ENERGY
mode, you can control a weld cycle by using energy, or you
can enhance your weld with other settings, such as Time and Peak Power limits.
The following table lists these settings and includes the settable ranges for each. It also
includes the default setting, which is how your unit will arrive from the factory. In
addition, the table indicates whether the setting can be disabled.

There are two ways to exit from weld modes:
1. Press the flashing mode key or keys.
2. After pressing any
UP / DOWN
arrow key(s), press the appropriate sELEcr key.
Storing Settings: After fine-tuning all your welding settings, you can store them in
memory as a preset for recall at a later date. (See instructions for storing and recalling
weld settings in Section 4.6.) Once you have performed a weld cycle or activated a
PALM
BUTFON,
the current weld settings are automatically stored in preset 0. You can store up
to 20 presets.
