Calibrating and Adjusting

This chapter gives you instructions for calibrating and adjusting the logic analyzer.
Adjustments to the logic analyzer include adjusting the CRT monitor assembly.
To periodically verify the performance of the analyzer, refer to "Testing Performance"
in chapter 3.

Logic analyzer calibration

The logic analyzer circuitry of the HP 1660C-series, HP 1660CP-series, and
HP 1660CS-series Logic Analyzers does not require an operational accuracy
calibration. To test the logic analyzer circuitry against specifications (full
calibration), refer to chapter 3, Testing Performance.
The oscilloscope circuitry in the HP 1660CS-series Logic Analyzers requires an
operational accuracy calibration by the user or service department under any of the
following conditions:
at six months intervals or every 1,000 hours
if the ambient temperature changes more than 10° C from the temperature at full
calibration
to optimize measurement accuracy
To test the oscilloscope circuitry against specifications (full calibration), refer to
chapter 3, Testing Performance.
The pattern generator circuitry in the HP 1660CP-series Logic Analyzers does not
require an operational accuracy calibration.
