CHECKING THE OIL LEVEL SWITCH
1. Drain:
• Engine oil
2. Remove:
• Oil level switch
(from the oil pan)
3. Check:
• Oil level switch continuity
Out of specification → Replace.

Minimum level position
No continuity
Maximum level position
Continuity

a. Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) to the oil
level switch terminal as shown.

b. Check the oil level switch for continuity.

CHECKING THE FUEL SENDER
1. Remove:
• Fuel pump
(from the fuel tank)
2. Check:
• Fuel sender resistance
Out of specification → Replace the fuel pump
assembly.
Sender unit resistance (full)
19.0–21.0 Ω
Sender unit resistance (empty)
139.0–140.9 Ω

a. Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 10/× 100) to
the fuel sender terminals as shown.
