NOTICE
• Be sure to use the recommended fork oil.
Other oils may have an adverse effect on
front fork performance.
• When disassembling and assembling the
front fork leg, do not allow any foreign ma-
terial to enter the front fork.
12.After filling the front fork leg, slowly stroke the
damper rod assembly "1" up and down (at
least ten times) to distribute the fork oil. (Right
side only)
TIP
Be sure to stroke the damper rod assembly
slowly because the fork oil may spurt out.
13.Slowly stroke the inner tube "1" up and down.
14.Before measuring the fork oil level, wait ten
minutes until the oil has settled and the air
bubbles have dispersed.
TIP
Be sure to bleed the front fork leg of any residual
air.
FRONT FORK (FJR13AG)
15.Measure:
• Front fork leg oil level "a"
(from the top of the inner tube, with the outer
tube fully compressed and without the fork
spring)
Out of specification → Correct.
Level (left)
88 mm (3.5 in)
Level (right)
90 mm (3.5 in)
TIP
• While filling the front fork leg, keep it upright.
• After filling, slowly pump the front fork leg up
and down to distribute the fork oil.
16.Install:
• Fork spring
TIP
Install the fork spring so that the end "A" shown
in the illustration is facing up.

17.Install (right side):
• Nut "1"
• Damper adjusting rod "2"
• Cap bolt "3"

a. Install the nut "1".
b. Install the nut "1" and position it as specified
"a".
