VIDEO SYSTEM

The UCS 5000 Gogo Vision provides on-demand video content such as movies, TV episodes, news, destination weather,
moving maps, and flight information. The video system distributes multi-regional video formats including National
Television Systems Committee (NTSC), Phase Alternating Line (PAL), and Sequentiel Couleur a Memoire (SECAM), from
the NiceView passenger information system and the Blu-ray player to video displays. Video source signals may be displayed
on the High-Definition (HD) bulkhead monitors, PCUs, and carry-on Personal Electronic Devices (PED) such as laptops,
USB drives, iPods, and smartphones. Video output is controlled globally from the GCP and the VIP PCU and locally from
the passenger PCUs.
Note: An iPhone or iPod with the Lightning connector will not output analog video when connected to the iPod docking harness with
a Lightning-to-30 pin adapter. If digital video playback is desired from an iPhone or iPod equipped with a Lightning connector,
connect the device with a Lightning-to-HDMI adapter to an HDMI port.

Bulkhead Monitor

The forward and aft HD LCD bulkhead monitors accept multi-regional video formats. The bulkhead monitors are
controlled from the GCP or the VIP PCU.

Blu-ray Player

The Blu-ray player device functions as a media center that is capable of playing multi-regional video formats. The Blu-ray
player provides the latest BD-Live capabilities when Internet is available to allow access to supplemental movie content.
The Blu-ray player also provides movie specific codec update capabilities through an Internet connection (when available)
or a USB memory stick (if no Internet connection is available). A USB memory stick may be inserted into the Audio Video
On Demand (AVOD) port on the face of the player. The CD/DVD/Blu-ray discs may be ejected from the player using the
disc drive eject button, but the player is otherwise controlled from the GCP or VIP PCU.
