LAVATORY

LAVATORY DESCRIPTION

WARNING: During taxi, takeoff, and landing, all doors and drawers must be closed and the lavatory must not
be occupied. Failure to observe this warning may result in injury to cabin occupants.
This section describes the lavatory
(Figure
70). The lavatory includes the toilet, vanity cabinet, wardrobe, storage cabinet,
water supply, and waste disposal.

Lavatory Toilet

There is a self-contained chemical toilet with a timed flush cycle in the lavatory. Push the flush switch on the baggage
bulkhead to activate the flush cycle, which lasts approximately 8 seconds. The toilet is plumbed to be serviced from
outside the aircraft using a standard lavatory servicing cart.

Lavatory Vanity Cabinet

The lavatory vanity cabinet contains a medicine cabinet, mirror (hinged to access the medicine cabinet), sink and faucets,
storage drawers, flush and call switches, and an electrical outlet (behind a hinged door). The lavatory switch panel is
installed on the baggage bulkhead adjacent to the toilet enclosure. The mirror features limited adjustment capability and
can be tilted.
