WATER AND WASTE

WASTE SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

Grey water from the galley sink, espresso maker, coffee maker, and ice drawer is discharged through the forward drain
mast. Grey water from the lavatory sink is discharged through the aft drain mast. The drain lines and drain masts are
heated to prevent frozen liquid in the system.

Galley Water Drains

CAUTION: Only liquid may be emptied into the galley sink. If coffee or tea is emptied into the sink, make sure
there are no coffee grounds or tea leaves.
Water drains for the galley sink, espresso maker, coffee maker, and ice drawer remove grey water through the drain mast.
To drain water from the sink or the coffee maker drip tray, turn the galley drain valve T-handle, as shown in
Figure
58,
one-quarter turn clockwise, and then pull. Push the T-handle in and turn counterclockwise to close the galley drain valve.
The ice drawer has a plunger-type drain that is accessible by opening the ice drawer. To drain water from the ice drawer,
lift the plunger until the water is drained.
