LIGHTING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The cabin lights feature Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology, which consumes less power and operates at cooler
temperatures than incandescent illumination. Some lights may be adjusted for different colors to enhance the cabin
appearance. Many of the cabin lights can be controlled using the CMS presets, available through the GCP and the VIP
PCU. Refer to section Cabin Management System for detailed information.
Aircraft interior lights provide two basic types of illumination: direct and indirect. Direct illumination is provided by dome,
table, or reading lights.
Indirect illumination is provided by wash lights and accent lights. Wash lights are normally hidden from direct view and
wash an area with diffused light directed upward or downward. Accent lights provide effect illumination or soft light to
areas around cabin furnishings and are for use under low light conditions.
