COMMUNICATION AND CONTROL

PASSENGER ADDRESS

The Passenger Address (PA) system enables crew members to address passengers from a cockpit microphone over the
speakers in the main cabin and lavatory. During PA announcements, cabin entertainment system audio, video, and
passenger information system output is muted. The Cabin Management System (CMS) also provides preset recorded
briefing messages that can be initiated from the Galley Control Panel (GCP).

Start Passenger Briefing Messages

To make a passenger briefing announcement:
1. At the GCP, touch the microphone icon on the main menu page.
Make sure the Passenger Information menu is shown.
2. Touch the Briefings menu item.

3. Scroll through the list to find a briefing to play.
4. Touch the briefing message to play.
Make sure the GCP shows text to confirm the briefing message is in progress.
Make sure the selected briefing message is heard on the cabin speakers.
5. To interrupt a briefing at any time, click on the GCP line with the Cancel Briefing button.
Note: Both PA and briefing announcements override all other audio inputs.
