CABIN LIGHTS

The cabin contains various types of lights to provide indirect general illumination, ambient illumination for low light
conditions, and direct illumination for seats.
PSU Pod Lights
The multifunction PSU pod accent light assembly installed around the contour of each cabin PSU can serve as either a
downwash light, an accent light, or both. PSU pod lights are controlled from the GCP, the VIP PCU, and the standard cabin
PCUs. The GCP and the VIP PCU control PSU pod functions in groups, either forward or aft. Each standard PCU controls
only the PSU pod light in the most adjacent PSU.
Each cabin PSU pod downwash light provides indirect general illumination to the cabin from the lower edge of the PSU
and increased illumination of the seat group located below the PSU. The PSU pod downwash light function control is step
dimmable (0/33/66/100%).
Each cabin PSU pod accent light provides ambient illumination to the liners around the PSU. The PSU pod accent light
function control is on/off.
Wash Lights
Upwash lights provide indirect general illumination and are installed on the sidewall along the lower edge of the main cabin
headliner. Upwash lights are divided into forward and aft control zones. Upwash lights are controlled from the GCP and
the VIP PCU. Upwash lights are step dimmable (0/33/66/100%) when controlled from within the cabin.
Accent Lights
Various types of accent lights provide ambient light thought the aircraft. In the cabin area, the primary accents are floor
accent lights and seat accent lights. The multifunction PSU pod lights, as described in the wash lights section, support a
downwash light function as well as an accent light function.
