COMMUNICATION AND CONTROL

Passenger Control Unit

The 4.3-inch (10.9-centimeter) LCD touch display Passenger Control Units (PCU) shown in
limited control of cabin features through a number of layered menus. The VIP PCU presents an edited selection of GCP
tabs to the occupant of the VIP seat, allowing a greater level of cabin systems control than that provided by the passenger
PCUs. VIP PCU controls work identically to corresponding GCP controls.
The PCU controls may be navigated by using the touchscreen functionality on the LCD and from the scroll-wheel control
panels. Each PCU is interfaced to a scroll-wheel control panel, which includes a multifunction control button/wheel and a
back/home button for navigation on the PCU.
Seat 03 is designated as the VIP seat. However, the PCU at any seat position may be assigned as the VIP PCU so the VIP
user can access VIP functions from any seat.
A smartphone (such as the Blackberry, the Android, and the iPhone/iTouch/iPad) may also be used as a VIP or passenger
PCU when connected to the CMS.
The PCUs may be used to control:
• Personal IFE source selection
• Local headphone volume
• Cabin IFE source selection (VIP only)
• Cabin speaker volume (VIP only)
• Cabin illumination (VIP only)
• Cabin temperature (VIP only)
• Bulkhead monitor adjustments and settings (VIP only)
