CABIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Cabin control and entertainment systems and equipment are managed through the Ethernet-based Cabin Management
System (CMS). The CMS is a fully-integrated network that performs both cabin management and In-Flight Entertainment
(IFE) functions.
The CMS controls audio output to the cabin IFE speakers and passenger headphone network, and video output to the
cabin monitors. The system also provides users with access to entertainment source equipment through the Passenger
Control Units (PCU), and control of the entire IFE system from the GCP and the VIP PCU. After cabin power has been
turned on, the system will be ready for use in less than one minute. The locations of CMS user interfaces are shown in
Figure 38.
