RESOLUTE readhead mounting and alignment
Mounting brackets
The bracket must have a flat mounting surface and should provide adjustment to enable conformance to the installation tolerances, allow adjustment to the rideheight of the readhead, and be sufficiently
stiff to prevent deflection or vibration of the readhead during operation.
For the RESOLUTE Functional Safety readhead mounting:
•
The recommended screw type is M3 × 0.5 mm and must comply with: ISO 4762 M3.
•
The recommended thread engagement is 6 mm.
•
The maximum screw clearance hole diameter is 4 mm.
•
Recommended tightening torque 0.9 Nm to 1.1 Nm.
•
The use of a thread locking compound is recommended.
•
The readhead to interface cable must be secured to a part that does not move relative to the readhead using a suitable clip within 50 mm of exiting the readhead with a minimum bend radius > 10 mm.
•
Cable rolling radius must be > 25 mm when the cable is routed through moving trunking/a cable chain.
•
Route the cable away from operating environments that will exceed the EMC limits defined IEC61800-5-2: Annex E second environment– Electromagnetic immunity requirement for
safety related systems.
