The reason for failure to validate the SNMP
request. nmAccessTableRestriction(1) indi-
cates that the requesting network manage-
ment station (NMS) does not have
appropriate permission to perform the SNMP
request. Either it does not match an IP
address in the docsDevNmAccessTable, or
the community string in the SNMP request
did not match the community string in docs-
DevNmAccessTable for the requesting NMS;
or the docsDevNmAccessControl value spec-
ified in the docsDevNmAccessTable for this
NMS was not sufficient to allow access for
the SNMP request type (either "get" or "set").
Or, finally, the SNMP request from this NMS
is not accepted on the interface (Ethernet or
CATV) that the request was received. noW-
riteAccessToMibVar(2) indicates that an
SNMP set request was received for a MIB
variable whose write access control is set.
other(3) indicates a nonspecific error.
