Chapter 13: Troubleshooting
Overview
This chapter describes how to use the MMR disks for partially or completely
reinstalling MMR. As well, a section provides information on how to recover from
common mishaps and errors. Finally, this chapter lists MMR error messages and
actions to correct them. You can access the same messages and actions through the
online help. A copy of the information appears in this chapter for your convenience.
During installation, errors may occur for various reasons, such as lack of MMR PC
disk space or random access memory (RAM). Check that your PC has at least the
minimum hardware requirements as stated in Chapter 2, "Getting Started." During
installation of MMR, you should close any other applications.
If you experience errors running MMR, whether it be a database problem or
something as simple as forgetting your MMR password, the troubleshooting
actions may require you to use the MMR disks to help you resolve the problem.

Using the MMR Disks

If a troubleshooting action suggests that you reinstall a portion or all of MMR, you
need to reinstall from the MMR disks. Please refer to Chapter 3, "Installing MMR,"
for more information about installing MMR. During reinstallation, the MMR
Welcome screen appears first, then the Installation Warning screen appears to
notify you that MMR has already been installed using the disks.
