Chapter 7: Traffic Reports
Overview
This chapter contains report examples, field definitions, and analyses of Traffic
reports that are available to you. Traffic reports help you to analyze the traffic
generated by the entire system, individual services, or service families on the
system. Corrective actions are included where applicable.
System Traffic Summary Report
This report helps you to understand the traffic patterns through your Meridian Mail
system. The report provides information that enables you to identify the busy
periods and to estimate the current grade of service that the system is providing.
This information is useful for determining whether your system has enough ports to
service your users.With this report, you can also determine the system traffic
generated by specific services and by service families such as Fax on Demand, and
Voice Forms.
The report is also available in graph format. It is produced at the same time as the
summary output.
