Ball Catch and Detent Adjustment



Door packages may be glazed before or after installation. Final
adjustments and operational checks should be performed after
all doors are installed and glazing, and installation of any trim
and accessories are completed.
Check clearances with floor and header in both sliding and
break-out modes as well as sweep adjustment if applicable.
Dispose of all packing and waste materials in accordance with
state and local requirements.
All break-out panels are equipped with an adjustable ball catch.
(See Fig. A)
Break-out force limits vary by location. Check local building
codes for egress requirements.
Adjust doors for proper operation in accordance with
manufacturer's instruction and adherence to NFPA 101 Life
Safety Code and/or AHJ "Authority Having Jurisdiction". Tension
is not to exceed 50 lbs. breakout force.
1. To adjust tension, insert a small flat head screwdriver into the
brass plunger as shown until it contacts the slotted head of
the adjustment screw. (See Fig. B)
2. To increase the tension, rotate the screw CCW or to
decrease the tension, rotate the screw CW.
