4.3.5

MCS Documents.

An MCS document allows the complete backup of a Cortex RTR configuration on hard drive (with the
.mcs extension). The presence and number of units depend on the configuration of the Cortex RTR.
This document also contains the IP address or the network name of the Cortex RTR.
MCS documents are binary files and cannot be displayed or printed.
MCS documents are not automatically saved. To keep MCS changes, Click on FILE – SAVE or SAVE
AS (to create and backup several configurations).
The Monitoring and Control Software opens a default file during boot up sequence. This file is :
All the MCS files are saved in this directory.
Warning:
When changing configuration by using MCS document, it is recommended to set the
"Preferences/OK/Differ Management" to "Standard". If the parameter is set to "Auto", each time a MCS
file is open, all parameters are automatically updated with SPS parameter values and the content of
the MCS file get lost. In Standard mode, each parameter with a different value from the SPS one will
be displayed on a yellow background.

Remote Menu Selection Window.

The icon
from the toolbar creates the following window to manage Remote Menu (i.e. active
demodulation type) :

This functionality is not used in RTR product and we strongly recommend that this interface is never
used; use of the CTX document management is preferred.
