Monitoring Mode.

On start-up the default procedure for Cortex RTR is « Monitoring alone ».
In all the configuration pages (except for the Operation page which has none), the control buttons are
deactivated.
The remotes states and alarms are refreshed in real time on the Graphic Interface.
The MCS compares the configuration parameters of the MCS table with those displayed in the
graphic interface. If the man machine interface strictly reflects the contents of the MCS table, the
configuration status at the bottom of the high-level window will display:
In the event of an inconsistency (the Cortex RTR reconfigured by a remote MCS client or an MCS
document not being backed up during the previous machine shutdown), the configuration status will
change to:
Furthermore, the parameters concerned will appear against a yellow background:
In Monitoring mode, the Graphic interface can be refreshed by clicking on
table with Cortex RTR configuration parameters.

the actual configuration of the equipment.
Before changing any parameters, it is recommended that you update the MCS configuration, either by :
Clicking on

The states and alarms are still refreshed in real time but modification of parameters by remote clients is
no longer forwarded to the Graphic Interface.
The second step is then to modify parameters and to click on [APPLY] or press [ENTER].
This produces the following actions:
Open and connect to the « Control » port.
Transmit configuration commands to the Cortex RTR signal processing software
Close the connection to the « Control » port.
Return to « Monitoring » mode.
In order to cancel the changes, click on [CANCEL] or press [ESC].
