Using the Dash 2500 Patient Monitor: Demo Mode
1.
Choose the go to standby option from the
with the following message appears at the bottom of the screen: This will
suspend all monitoring and alarms. Do you want to do this?
2.
Choose yes to switch the Monitor to standby.
3.
To exit standby and resume patient monitoring, push the Standby hardkey
or push the Trim Knob. Settings and data prior to standby are retained.
NOTE: After you push the Standby hardkey or the Trim Knob, alarms are
temporarily disabled and the message
temporarily disabled while patient connections are re-
established. Is this a new patient you would like to admit?

automatically defaults to no if you do not respond within 30
seconds, and the popup window disappears.
The Main hardkey closes the menu system and takes you to the Main screen.
NOTE: The Main hardkey is unavailable if: 1) the SelectBox is active, 2) the
freeze feature is active, or 3) an adjuster menu is open.
The Monitor displays all the vital signs values and waveforms under Demo Mode.
It is designed for training of operation before use.
Procedures
1.
Push and hold the Silence Alarm and Main hardkeys, then push the Power
hardkey, hold the Silence Alarm and Main hardkeys until the Monitor
displays the entering screen. The start-up screen shows the DEMO MODE
message in red in addition to the standard displays. The Monitor enters
demo mode operation.
2.
The entering screen disappears; the Monitor turns to the main screen. The
Monitor displays the DEMO MODE message on the upper middle section of
the screen. It indicates that the Monitor is under demo mode operation.
3.
A pop up window appears with the message, CAUTION! Cannot detect cuff
type automatically! Please choose cuff type. Selections are Adult/
Pediatric and Neonate.
4.
The Monitor displays all the vital signs values and waveforms. All these
values and waveforms are not changeable under Demo Mode.
5.
Push the Power hardkey to power off the Monitor and exit the Demo Mode.
