Using the Dash 2500 Patient Monitor: Hardkeys
BP menu option . Once chosen, the start custom menu option changes to
the stop custom option. To cancel the custom mode, choose stop custom
from the setup custom steps menu. To stop a single custom determination,
push the NIBP Go/Stop hardkey. As the Monitor completes each step, the
number before the elliptic circle will increase by one automatically (in the
NIBP vital signs area), and the completed step turns green and becomes
unselectable (in the menu options).
This hardkey zeros the IBP determination. It is available for use only when IBP is
configured. The IBP parameter is not configured in the Dash 2500 Patient
Monitor.
Once an alarm has been silenced and as long as no new crisis alarms occur, the
allotted silence time (1 or 2 minutes, user-selectable under the Config settings
menu) must expire before the alarm will sound again. Any new crisis alarm
violation overrides the alarm silence function. You may reactivate the alarms at
any time during the silence period by pushing the Silence Alarm hardkey again.
If you correct the problem without pressing the Silence Alarm hardkey, the
alarm will continue. You must always acknowledge a crisis alarm by
pressing the Silence Alarm hardkey.
If the Monitor is connected to a remote alarm and a crisis alarm occurs, you
must push the Silence Alarm hardkey to acknowledge the alarm.
How to silence patient alarms and procedural alarms
1.
Push the Silence Alarm hardkey.
2.
For instructions on responding to the alarm, refer to the Alarms section.
NOTE: Alarms remain silenced for a predetermined period of time. Any
new crisis alarm violation overrides the alarm silence function.
