3.5 MSS 3RK3 system components
Central units
For each system configuration, you require a 3RK3 central unit that you select appropriately for
the specific application (e.g. 3RK3 Basic). For executing the safety functions, the 3RK3 central
unit contains the parameterization data in a plug-in memory module. You can optionally
connect the expansion modules and the interface module or the diagnostic display to the 3RK3
central unit.

Expansion modules
You need expansion modules to adapt the MSS 3RK3 to the required application. You thereby
supplement the 3RK3 central unit with additional inputs and outputs.
