Protective circuit for outputs that switch inductive loads
Increasing the fault reaction time

Note that the (fault) reaction time is made longer by the protective circuit.

In the case of inductive loads, the external protective circuit must be arranged in parallel with
the load. Connection in parallel with the outputs can prevent shutdown of the machine or
process.

relevant documentation.
