The ozone generator of the Wedeco ozone generating system
PLUS
SMOevo
series produces ozone from oxygen according to the
silent electrical discharge principle.
Refer to Chapter Ozone Generation Principle.
The feed gas pressure is reduced to the required operation
pressure of the ozone generator. While passing the ozone
generator, ozone is generated by applying electrical energy to the
feed gas. The generated ozonated process gas can then be fed to
the relevant application.
The ozone generator must be cooled with water in order to reduce
the high temperature developing during the ozone generation
process.
The ozone generator is a water-cooled tubular heat exchanger
made of stainless steel.
The core of the ozone generating module is t he Wedeco
EFFIZON®evo technology.
The local Programmable Logic Control (PLC) controls and monitors
the ozone system.
The operating controls include
- HMI (touch panel)
- main switch
- system switch
- emergency push button
- indicator lights
The control unit comprises a hard wired interface enabling
transmittal of commands and messages from higher level control
systems.
