11 Maintenance
This section describes the precautions, the requirements for the personnel and how to
proceed with regard to maintenance work on the ozone system.
In order to ensure a long lifetime and low wear of the ozone system, regular maintenance is
required.
We recommend concluding a maintenance and inspection agreement based on maintenance
"on demand" and annual inspection of the ozone system.
11.1 Safety Instructions
Live components!
Danger to life due to electric shock.
After switching off the system, it may have stored energy.
Set the main switch to 0/OFF.

Switch off all external voltages.

Check the system for absence of voltage.
•
Secure the system and its components against unintentional restart.

When working on the ozone generator or step-up transformer, make

sure that the secondary connections are grounded in accordance with
local regulations.

Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV).
The owner / operator of the ozone system is obliged to
have a "periodic test" carried out for the container by an
approved accreditation body (zugelassene Über-
wachungsstelle, ZÜS) 5 years after commissioning the
system.
If the periodic test does not detect any defects, the test
time for the ozone generator can be extended to 10 years
(Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV),
appendix 5, article 8, pressure equipment with additional
installations)
The pipe work must also be classified in accordance with

BetrSichV and, if necessary, inspected periodically.
