Replacing a power supply

WARNING!
To avoid device damage or bodily injury, strictly follow the removal procedure in
remove a power supply.

CAUTION:
For adequate heat dissipation and dust prevention, install a filler panel in a power supply slot if you
are not to install a new power supply in the slot after removing the old one.
To replace a power supply:
1. Wear an ESD wrist strap. Make sure the wrist strap makes good skin contact and is reliably
grounded.
2. Remove the power cord from the power supply.
3. Pressing the latch on the power supply towards the handle direction, pull the power supply
slowly out of the slot, as shown in Figure10-2.
4. Place the removed power supply on an antistatic mat.
5. Install a new power supply in the slot. For the installation procedure, see
supplies."
If you are no to install a new power supply, install a filler panel in the slot.
