Assembly example
This chapter provides information on the assembly of an XTS with
straight modules, curved modules, guide rails and movers. The in-
stallation is described as an example on a simple symmetrical sys-
tem with 180° curves and modules with power supply.
Note system view
The name plate in the illustration serves the purpose of orientation
in the following instructions. It helps you to be sure of the view from
which you have to assemble the XTS.
You need the following aids for the mechanical installation:
• Suitable torque wrench
• Threadlocker
• Vernier caliper
• Alignment gauge [+]
• Rail on support [+]
• Assembly tool for B23 connectors [+]
The illustration below gives you an initial overview of the compo-
nents that you need for the mechanical installation of the XTS in the
configuration described here. Please note that the design and com-
position of the components can deviate and that not all fastening
materials are included in the scope of supply as standard.
