14. Hydraulic Pressure Check & Adjustment

1. Attach the gauge to the charge pressure test
port, located next to the fuel filter.
2. Start the engine.
3. Check the pressure with the engine at wide
open throttle. Make sure the engine is properly
warmed up before running wide open. Charge
pressure should be between 400 psi (2758 kPa)
and 450 psi (3103 kPa).
4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
5. Remove the gauge from the test port.
Auxiliary Pressure Check & Adjustment
The service tools required for the auxiliary pressure
check and adjustment are listed in Table 14-1. Use
manufacturer-recommended tools whenever possi-
ble.

Insert the hydraulic gauge into one of the attachment
quick couplers.

1. Engage the continuous flow switch next to the
key switch. Make sure it is in the direction that
sends flow to the gage.
2. There must be an operator in the seat with the
lap bar down for the flow to work.
3. Pressure should be approximately 3000 psi
(20,680 kPa).
