REMOVAL AND DISASSEMBLY

• Remove the front wheel. (! 5-6)
• Remove the front fender mounting bolt caps and front fender
mounting bolts.
• Remove the front fender.
• Remove the front fork after loosening the front fork upper and
lower clamp bolts.
NOTE:
Slightly loosen the front fork cap bolt 1 to facilitate later disas-
sembly.
• Remove the front fork cap bolt, spacer 2, washer 3 and fork
spring 4.
• Invert the front fork and stroke it several times to drain out fork
oil.
• Hold the front fork in the inverted position for a few minutes to
allow fork oil to fully drain.
• Remove the dust seal 5 and oil seal stopper ring 6.
