shaft exceeds the service limit, replace it with a new one.

REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS
Inspect the rear shock absorbers for damage and oil leakage. If
any defects are found, replace the rear shock absorber(-s) with a
new one.

Do not attempt to disassemble the rear shock absorber.
It is unserviceable.
REASSEMBLY AND REMOUNTING
Reassemble and remount the swingarm and rear shock absorb-
ers in the reverse order of removal and disassembly. Pay attention
to the following points:
SWINGARM NEEDLE BEARINGS
• Before installing the needle bearings, install the center spacer.
• Press the needle bearing into the swingarm pivot using the spe-
cial tool.

NOTE:
Install the needle bearings with the stamped mark facing out.
• Apply grease to the spacers, dust seals and needle bearings.

• Tighten the pivot shaft nut to the specified torque.
