BRAKE CALIPER REMOVAL AND
DISASSEMBLY
• Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper by removing the
union bolt and catch the brake fluid in a suitable receptacle.
• Remove the brake caliper by removing the caliper mounting bolts.

Never reuse the brake fluid left over from previous ser-
vicing and stored for long periods.

Brake fluid, if it leaks, will interfere with safe running and
discolor painted surfaces. Check the brake hose and hose
joints for cracks and fluid leakage.
• Remove the brake pads by removing the clips 1, pad mounting
pins 2 and spring.
"
Do not separate the caliper housing due to the inner part
of O-ring can not supply individually.
• Hold one side of the brake caliper pistons by a rag to prevent
them from popping out.
• Force out the pistons using compressed air.
"
Do not use high pressure air to prevent brake caliper pis-
ton damage.
• Remove the dust seals and piston seals.
"
Do not reuse the dust seals and piston seals to prevent
fluid leakage.
