• Remove the lower crankcase tightening bolts and nut.
• Remove the main oil gallery plug A.
• When removing the crankshaft tightening bolts, loosen them in
the descending order of numbers assigned to these bolts.
NOTE:
* Two allen bolts are used for tightening crankshaft at the portion
B .
* When installing the main oil gallery plug A , replace the O-ring
with new one and tighten it to the specified torque.

• Remove the right oil pipe C.
• Make sure that all bolts are removed without fail. Hammer lightly
the lower crankcase side with a plastic hammer to separate the
upper and lower crankcase halves and then lift the latter.
NOTE:
Set the proper bolt and nut to the crankcase, front side and rear
side, by separating the upper and lower crankcase halves, as
shown in the illustration.

Do not drop the crankshaft journal bearings from the
lower crankcase.
