Troubleshooting
TROUBLESHOOTING
This section discusses what to do if your NET Series Controller does not operate as
expected. When troubleshooting, always ensure that the physical connections (power
cable, video/audio cables, PRO-BUS, and Ethernet/Serial cables) are secure.
TROUBLESHOOTING SCHEDULE
If your Controller is performing unexpected events, switches, or other unwanted
actions, the problem is probably due to conflicting events within the Controller Image.
As WinNET only performs "conflict-checking" on its day tabs, WinNET-LT tab events
may conflict with day events. Trying to identify the offending event may be a daunting
task, especially within a playlist containing hundreds of events. This is where the log
file comes in handy.
The log file is maintained by the Controller at all times. It cannot be deleted, written to,
or manipulated by a user in any way; however, you may download the file from the
Controller into a text editor (see Illustration 1). Refer to "Retrieving Log Files" on page
120 for more information on downloading log files.
