Release the key when the desired option is displayed. INTERPRETING THE STATUS LEDS The front panel of each NET Series Controller has four status LEDs, which provide information on the most important Controller conditions. See Table 22, NET Series Controller Front Panel LEDs, for a list of the status LEDs and the corresponding descriptions.
NET Series Front Panel Operation VIEWING STATUS SCREENS After the Controller has been booted up, press the up or down arrows on the Controller’s keypad to display the following status screens: SWITCHER STATUS/TYPE MINI-T-NET: the bottom line of the screen shows the switcher status (see Illustration 89, MINI-T-NET Switcher Status Screen).
NET-164 AND NET-EC ONLY: DVPLY FIRMWARE VERSION The DVply firmware version screen displays the DVply firmware version of a NET-164 or NET-EC Controller on the bottom line of the screen (see Illustration 94, NET Series Serial Number and Firmware Version Status Screen).
NET Series Front Panel Operation REBOOTING CONTROLLER Each NET Series Controller can be rebooted from the front panel. Simultaneously ↓ → ↑ hold down the “ ” and “ ” keys, and then press “ .” The schedule status remains the same as it was before the reboot.

NET Series Troubleshooting TROUBLESHOOTING This section discusses what to do if your NET Series Controller does not operate as expected. When troubleshooting, always ensure that the physical connections (power cable, video/audio cables, PRO-BUS, and Ethernet/Serial cables) are secure. TROUBLESHOOTING SCHEDULE If your Controller is performing unexpected events, switches, or other unwanted actions, the problem is probably due to conflicting events within the Controller Image.
Page 136
Critical Events or Errors A severity level 1 or 2 entry requests your attention by turning on the Log LED on the front panel of the NET Series Controller. Downloading the file will turn off the indicator. Action Types and Descriptions Actions describe what has been performed or noticed by a NET Series Controller.

NET Series Troubleshooting In Illustration 105, we see an event programmed on the Monday tab for 7:30 AM. Day tabs have conflict checking, so the user would be prompted if an error was noticed by the program. TROUBLESHOOTING HARDWARE REPLACING THE BATTERY Each NET Series Controller contains a user-replaceable lithium battery. Since removing the lid voids the NET Series warranty, the battery is guaranteed to last through the warranty period. When replacing the battery, observe the following guidelines: 1.
Status of the unit when the problem occurred (please try to include information on user and network activity at the time of the problem) Please contact the LEIGHTRONIX Technical Support Department at the number below for an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number before sending an item in for repair.
The sole responsibility of LEIGHTRONIX shall be to repair or replace in accordance with this warranty. The seller’s and manufacturer’s only obligation shall be to repair or replace such quantity of the product proved to be defective.

Internet. This appendix explains how to install and set up TCP/IP on a Windows 98 PC. This installation is intended for a stand-alone PC connected to a NET Series Controller, not a PC connected to a network. For network installations, consult the network administrator.
MINI-T-NET and up to 16 devices with the NET-164 and the NET-EC. PRO-BUS interfaces use standard phone cables with RJ-11 connectors that loop between each interface. The NET Series Controllers provide both control signals and power to your devices through PRO-BUS interfaces. Connect your PRO-BUS...
SET SWITCHES ASSIGN INTERFACE AN ADDRESS Each PRO-BUS interface relays the LEIGHTRONIX Controller commands issued to its address number. The interface’s activity LED toggles from its previous state (ON or OFF) when the interface receives a command. To assign your interface an address, set Switches 1–4 (see Illustration 109) according to Table 25, PRO-BUS Address...
CONNECT PRO-BUS TO CONTROLLER AND OTHER PRO-BUS INTERFACES Starting from the PRO-BUS port on your LEIGHTRONIX Controller, daisy-chain the provided RJ-11 cables between interfaces as shown in Illustration 110, PRO-BUS Daisy Chain, observing the "IN" and "OUT" labels on the interfaces. These labels indicate the signal path from the Controller.
