Battery Voltage

NOTE: The voltage of the battery can be found on the
lift truck's Nameplate. See the Frame section or
Operating Manual for your lift truck for the location of
the Nameplate.

SLEEP MODE

For battery serial numbers 100-2499, the Sleep Mode
will initiate after 5 days in which less than 200 mA has
been applied. For battery serial numbers 2500 and
higher, Sleep Mode will initiate after 4 hours in which
less than 1000mA is applied.
The lithium-ion battery is programmed to conserve
power during long periods of inactivity. To preserve
battery voltage, the lithium-ion battery will remove
power to the terminals, and the lift truck's electrical
system. The battery pack will continue to draw a very
low amount of current (amperage) during sleep mode.
Even in sleep mode, the battery can be fully
discharged over a greater amount of time.

Battery Voltage
If you have more than one lift truck in operation,

To reach the necessary battery voltage, the cells are
connected in series. For example:
24 volts = 7-cell battery (3.7 volts per cell)
Sleep Mode
NOTE: If the lift truck will not be used for an extended
period of time it is recommended to keep battery on a
maintenance charge cycle.
When the battery enters Sleep Mode, normal battery
voltage will be between 5 to 0V. Upon switching the
key switch from OFF to ON position, the battery will
power up and reinstate normal rated voltage (22-29V).
NOTE: Before leaving the battery in idle condition for
extended period of times, ensure battery voltage is
25.4V or more.

Battery Shut Down (Non Sleep Mode)

In addition to Sleep Mode, the battery has a self
protection mechanism, built in the BMS (battery
