Charger and Convenience Port

REMOVE

1.
Position lift truck on level surface. Turn key switch
to OFF position and disconnect the battery.
2.
Remove drive unit compartment cover. Refer to
AC Motor Repair 0620YRM1513, Accessing the
Drive Unit Compartment, Lift Trucks A419 and
B419A245 and B245.
3.
Reach up between control panel and charger
convenience port and unscrew lock nut holding
convenience port to control panel. See Figure 15.
4.
Unplug power cord for charger convenience port
from bottom of charger and unplug connector for
convenience port LED. See Figure 15.
CAUTION
When removing convenience port and power cord,
use care not to damage convenience port, power
cord, or LED connector as you feed them through
the front of the control panel.
5.
Remove convenience port from front of control
panel. See Figure 15.

Disconnect two electrical connectors from main
wiring harness. See Figure 16.
7.
Remove positive (red) electrical wire from B(+)
fuse terminal on truck fuse. See Figure 15.
8.
Remove negative (black) electrical wire from B(-)
terminal on controller. See Figure 16.
9.
Remove two nuts holding charger to control
panel. See Figure 16.
10. Pull charger away from control panel and out of
lift truck. See Figure 16.
