CAUTION
The charger comes factory set to the battery
installed at the factory and must be changed if
using different batteries. Using an improper
charger mode for your battery pack may cause
severe damage to batteries or charger. Refer to
Charger Mode/Battery Type Selection in this
section to verify the proper mode setting for your
battery pack.

COLOR
RED Illuminates continuously when AC power is present. Flashes
when a service fault condition occurs. See Table 5 to identify the
fault. LED also flashes during equalization charge. Equalization
charge is only available when charger is set to Mode 2 for US
Battery 1800. To override equalization charge in Mode 2, connect
and then disconnect AC power.
RED Flashes if abnormal shutdown has occurred. See Table 5 to
identify the fault.
RED Illuminates continuously when battery is not connected to charger
or battery voltage is less than 21V. If flashing, see Table 5 to
identify the fault.
YELLOW Charge status indicator - flashes during charging cycle
GREEN Illuminates continuously at the same time as the CHG LED when
battery is at 80-90% state of charge. Illuminates continuously,
without the CHG LED, when battery is fully charged.

LED Status Display

The charger has five colored LEDs located on the top
of the charger. The LEDs are used to indicate the
status of the charger during operation. The LED status
display also indicates charger service codes when AC
power is connected. Under normal charge
circumstances, the LEDs operate as in the following
table:
FUNCTION
Following the start-up flashing of the LEDs, the red,
POWER ON, LED will illuminate to indicate AC power
is applied to the charger and will begin the charging
cycle.
The charger uses a 6-Step charging process:
