1
Using the procedure in the section "Selecting a file" (page 3-1), select the
file you want to register.
2
Hold down the STORE key, and press one of the MEMORY keys (1 to 4).
This registers the file selected in step 1 to the MEMORY key.
• The indicator for the memory key to which you have registered the file
lights.
To recall a registered file
Press the MEMORY key to which you have registered the file you want to
recall.
This closes the file assigned to the port currently being controlled, and recalls
the file registered to the MEMORY key.
NOTE
• The registration information of files to MEMORY keys is discarded when the
MAV-555's power is turned off.
• The registration of files to MEMORY keys is not separately by port.
Irrespective of the selected port when you made the registration, the same file
is registered to a single MEMORY key.
• It is not possible to open the same file simultaneously on different playback
ports. Therefore, if the file registered to a MEMORY key is already opened
on another playback port, the MEMORY key operation is invalid. An attempt
to open a file already opened on another port produces an error message "xx
Using" (where "xx" is the name of the port on which the file is open) on the
monitor screen.
