Overwriting a specified section on the recorder with a cut from the
recorder
To specify the section for a cut to overwrite a specified position within the
same file on the recorder, use the following procedure.

Press the [ ] key, to select OVERWRITE mode.

Select the recorder port.

Using the jog dial of the BVE-series editor, for example, search for the IN
point.

Holding down the SHIFT key on the MAVE-F555, press the MARK IN
key.
• This specifies the IN point of the source cut to be used for overwriting.

As for the IN point, using the jog dial of the BVE-series editor, for
example, search for the OUT point.

Holding down the SHIFT key on the MAVE-F555, press the MARK OUT
key.
• This specifies the OUT point of the source cut to be used for overwriting.

Now continue from step 5 of the procedure under "Overwriting a specified
section on the recorder with a cut from the player" (page 3-26).
