List of Error Messages
Error messages during nonlinear editing
Message
Meaning
> =
zIN
OUT
In an editing operation, the IN point has a larger value than the
OUT point, and editing is therefore not possible. Reset the IN point
and OUT point to the correct values.
zNoData
For a deletion: the IN point and OUT point are not set, and the
deletion is therefore not possible.
For an insertion or replacement: at least three of the IN points and
OUT points are not set, and the editing operation is therefore not
possible.
The player file has been deleted and does not exist, so that editing
could not be carried out.
zNo CH
When carrying out an edit or a cut jump, there is no channel
specification at all, and the operation is therefore not possible.
Select at least one channel before carrying out the operation.
z = / FILE
Editing is not possible because the file opened during the editing
operation is not the same as the file with IN and OUT points set.
The Short Cut This error may occur if a cut is prepared with fewer than 19
frames. In this case, editing is not carried out.
Either change settings to make the resulting cut longer, or try
editing again.
Error messages during file operations
Message
Meaning
Protected
An attempt was made to delete a file, but the file is protected, and
cannot be deleted.
zDuration0
An attempt to create a new file failed because the menu setting on
the MAV-555 has LENGTH set to 0.
zxxUsing
An attempt was made to delete a file or recall a file with a
MEMORY key, but the file is already open on another port, and
therefore the operation was not possible. "xx" indicates the port on
which the file is open. (E.g. "BG Using")
Error messages during UNDO/REDO
Message
Meaning
zNo Data
An attempt was made to UNDO (or REDO), but there is no
corresponding data, and therefore the UNDO (or REDO) cannot
be carried out.
Message
Meaning
Cut Entry Full When the MAV-555 is in BVE mode, the editing file cut information
is held internally. This information is used on the MAVE-F555 as
cut information when carrying out nonlinear editing.
There is a limit on the number of cuts per file. A "CutEntryFull"
error indicates that this is full, and that no more cuts are possible
for this file.
Solution
If the above error occurs, hold down the three keys [ ?b ], [ B? ], and
[
] (or [
]) simultaneously for at least two seconds to display
the message "Packaging?" on the screen. If you now press the
EXECUTE/REC key, the cut information for the current file is
cleared, making further editing possible. However, since the cut
information is cleared, if you carry out a cut jump, it will cue up only
to the beginning or end of the file. To cancel while the
"Packaging?" message is displayed, press the [
once more.
] (or [
]) key
