Communications Method

5-8-1-4 Selective Access

A Selective Access has a function to communicate with the selected Tags among Tags in the com-
munications area of antenna. This access has different processing according to the modes of the
Reader/Writer.
<ISO mode>
Firstly, (Multi-) Read Command reads UID (SNR) of a Tag in communications area. You can read
UID (SNR) if you set UID (SNR) Additional Setting Command valid in advance. (If UID (SNR) is
known beforehand, there is no need to execute Read Command) Next, communicate with Tags ac-
cording to UID (SNR) received.
<I.CODE1 mode>
Firstly, you need to allocate Temporary Number in communications area with Tag Detection Com-
mand. Next, communicate with Tags according to UID (SNR) received.
(1) ISO mode: Read Command reads UID (SNR) of a Tag.
