7. Valve Clearance

7.1. Inspection

 Inspect and adjust valve clearance
while the engine is cold (below 35
℃).
Remove the four bolts, and then remove
cylinder head cover.
Remove the timing inspection cap from the
right side of the engine with a large flat blade
screwdriver. Inspect the O-ring on the cap
and replace it as needed.
Turn the A.C. generator flywheel clockwise
to the top dead center (TDC) on the
compression stroke so that the "T" mark on
the flywheel aligns with the index mark on
the left crankcase cover.
Turn crankshaft clockwise until the "T" mark
aligns with the index notch in the timing
inspection hole.
