Power Cords

Different power cords are offered as options with the sampling system
components. The female end of the power cords is identical. It plugs into the
power-input socket at the rear of the different peristaltic pumps and the
valve-pump controller. The male end of each power cord is different and
designed to match the wall socket of a particular country or region.
The absence of ground connection and the use of an unspecified power cord can

Bench Space

The sampling system is attached to a dissolution tester and the 8453
spectrophotometer. Agilent recommends a linear arrangement on a lab bench
of the dissolution tester, the sampling devices, the 8453 spectrophotometer
and the PC.
For the optimum arrangement the tubing connecting the vessel probe or valve
outlet to the flow cell inlet should be as short as possible. In case of a single
bath system, the 8453 should be adjacent to the dissolution tester. In a
multibath environment, the 8453 should be in the center of the arrangement.
The sampling devices applied should be visible to facilitate a check for proper
operation.
